Synopsis for "Changes"Edit

In the future, when a murder occurs, all you need do is give the brain wave recordings of the victim to the medical techs and tell the police whether you would desire retribution. After a man comes home one day to find his wife with a meat cleaver buried in her forehead, he is surprised to find that he enjoys the retribution he requested from the police so much, as his victim is one who does not have a brain recording and thus lies truly dead at his feet.

NotesEdit

  • "Changes" is probably inspired by Frederik Pohl's "The Age of the Pussyfoot".
