The Crypt-Keeper (1972 movie)

Role in film[edit | edit source]

In this ghoulish adaption that brought our favorite horror host to the big screen the Crypt-Keeper doesn't tell the stories, but rather makes the unsuspecting group of seemingly unrelated people see what will happen when they leave. He also is hinted to be satan at the end.

Ghoulish look[edit | edit source]

His look is quite different in this movie than it is in the comic book or TV series. He wears a brown robe with the hood over his head, and he looks considerably younger then in the comics (still old but not as old). He had more of a serious look in the film.

Difference in personality[edit | edit source]

Unlike the normal Crypt-Keeper (who is psychotic and has a ghoulish sense of humor,) this one has a strictly serious look to him and never smiles. This version is a no joke presenter of why you are in hell and how you'll spend your death sentence.
