Professional History

Pat Mills, sometimes called 'the Godfather of British comics', is a comics writer and editor. Along with others including John Wagner, he revitalized the British comics industry in the 1970s and early 1980s with the creation of groundbreaking new titles such as Action, 2000 AD and Battle Picture Weekly and strips and characters such as Judge Dredd, Ro-Busters, ABC Warriors, Flesh, Nemesis the Warlock, Slaine, Bill Savage and Charley's War. Later, he would create the anti-hero Marshal Law, and the adult oriented comic Crisis, as well as Diceman and Toxic!. He also wrote several early stories for Doctor Who Weekly. He created Metalzoic for America's DC Comics and Sha for the French market, and continues to write extensively for 2000 AD.
