The Beezer was a long-running weekly British comic book, which was home to 120 different comic strips over the years. First printed in 1956, it absorbed Cracker in 1976 and Plug in 1979. It was renamed The Beezer and Topper on merging with The Topper in 1990. Publication ceased in 1993. After its closure, some of its characters appeared in The Beano and The Dandy.

Reprinted as Ruffies and Tuffies in The Victor. About two feuding hillbilly families. This strip was surprisingly violent, with the families eager to shoot each other with shotguns even to the point of co-operating in order to steal guns from the sheriff.
