Film Picture Stories was a weekly comic published by Amalgamated Press from 1934 to '35, converted from the story paper The Bullseye and edited by Fred Cordwell. It lasted for thirty issues before merging into Film Fun.

Like its stablemate, Film Picture Stories featured the fictional exploits of various film stars. However, it distinguished itself from Film Fun and similar titles by focusing on cowboys, coppers and gangsters, rather than on slapstick comedy - although there were some humour stories, including one with Laurel and Hardy in issue 5.[1][2]

One of the comic's recurring protagonists was Buck Jones, who would become a regular fixture in Cowboy Comics fifteen years down the line.
