Synopsis for "The Christmas Flower"Edit
A black kid in a poor neighborhood finds a flower growing through the cracks and decides it must be a Christmas miracle. A street thug steps on it just to be cruel and the neighborhood passerby attempt to nurse it back to health, causing the folks to get to know one another as people. Even the thug is impressed when he sees all the people gathered around. Later, after he commits a robbery and is pursued by a police car while riding a motorcycle, he approaches the flower and the kid warns him away from it. The thug swerves to avoid the flower and crashes into the police car, killing himself. The cop points out to the kid that the flower is dying and says he thinks it will be back next year. He offers to buy the kid a hot dog.
