Synopsis for "Code of the Shadowmaster"Edit
A magician has a silhouette artist make a cutout of him from enchanted sackcloth as he laying dying so that he may receive eternal life, but the artist betrays and kills the magician to steal his wealth. The magician's spirit curses the artist to die by his own hand. After some time, the artist spends through the magician's wealth and offers to do the sackcloth bit for a dying millionaire. The man humors the artist and it works. The man's daughter marries the artist, but he strangles her in a rage when she attempts to dispose of the sackcloth because it frightens her. The magician's spirit appears again and the artist runs, still with the scissors in his hand. He trips over his dead wife's body and, with his death, the magician's spirit is released from its torment.
