Professional History
Romita's Raiders were members of an art apprentice program at Marvel Comics run primarily by Art Director John Romita. The program was initiated in 1984 by Jim Shooter. The Raiders were called the Raiders because they would "raid" the artwork, correcting what needed to be corrected and then escaping, unnoticed. While Romita mainly did cover corrections the Raiders worked, usually uncredited, on interior pages.
